Replace collapsed buffer stop ejectors in the hood & trunk

There are four buffer stop ejectors: two in each corner of the trunk lid and two on the front cross member near each headlight. They help the hood and trunk close gently.

Over time, the cap holding the spring in place may pop off and allow the spring to free, which lets the ejector collapse, like below:

These stops are threaded rubber - to remove and install, simply turn by hand clockwise or counterclockwise from their mount holes.

If you bought a new buffer stop ejector, it will probably arrive compressed. Turn the screw on the ejector clockwise a quarter turn to allow the ejector to pop up.
